Balance

This is a design my 10-year-old daughter created on the computer last week.  I was amazed when she showed it to me.  She had created it with no help from anyone.  I thought it exhibited several basic design concepts we've been studying in class.  In regards to balance, there is a definite symmetrical balance, both vertically and horizontally.  There is also a balance and unity in the selection of the rectangle shape and the freeform designs within each block.

I don't know what she calls the design, but I've given it the title of "Smarter Than a 5th Grader?".
